About my research
The work I have been focused on over the last decade has evolved around questioning the role of new technologies as an agent for social change, both from a bottom-up and top-down approach.
Building on that body of research, my current research interests are:
- Creativity as a major motor for organisational and social change, understanding creativity in different settings, from the technological sense to a social perspective;
- The study of multidisciplinarity and critical thinking as the basis to develop creativity, acquire maturity and knowledge and increase capability to face conflict resolution in a creative way;
- The study of the role of social networks in global change making a business case for creativity and inclusivity;
- Issues around gender participation in cultural events, i.e. dance events as a seed for empowerment and transformation;
- The use (and especially, the non-use) of technology in developing and developed countries, its significance, potential and disadvantages;
- The transformation of gender division of labour in media professions;
